Google Eye Tracking Study |
The
video on Google's +1 program explains it well, but the button for inclusion on publishers' websites isn't available quite yet. You can get on a
waiting list and they will email when the button becomes available. It will give Google information on what people like and what people like will get higher page rankings. However, what people like is limited by what people can find to like and finding remains the issue. The large corporations area buying their way to top page rankings and popular terms as well as strategic ones such as sustainability and health. As mentioned in an earlier post the amount of real estate people actually see on a search page is small and dominating the sweet spots is being aided by Google now placing paid search results in the top listings, on top of the organic search results, rather than to the right on the page and doing so both on Google and YouTube.
